Criteria analysis for deciding the LTL and FTL modes of transport

Abstract: Choosing between Less Than Truckload (LTL) and Full (FTL) is based on a multicriteria decision because it takes into account aspects such as costs operational efficiency in transportation, handling stock of goods. The aim this article to provide detailed analysis the criteria that comprise LTL FTL transport using methodology considers makers´ preferences. SMARTS method was applied telecommunications company outsources its logistics operation. Results show main for choosing shipment are related relationship with customer delivery freight (reliability time).
